St. Louis Work Zones for July 31-August 6

Lane closures, shifts around Boone Bridge construction project

ST. LOUIS – Missouri Department of Transportation crews will close and shift several lanes around the Daniel Boone Bridge construction project between St. Louis and St. Charles counties this week.

Starting with the Thursday, July 31, morning commute, eastbound drivers will be traveling through narrowed and shifted lanes on the St. Louis County side of the bridge. The speed limit through those shifted lanes will be 50 mph.

One lane on westbound I-64 from the bridge to Research Park will be closed until 2:30 p.m. Thursday for barrier work. On Thursday evening, crews will close two lanes on eastbound I-64 starting near Research Park at 6:30 p.m. to pour bridge columns for the new bridge.  Those lanes will open by 5 a.m. Friday.

On Friday, August 1, crews will shift eastbound traffic on the St. Charles side of the bridge. They will close the left lane of eastbound I-64 at  5:30 p.m. and an additional lane at 7:00 p.m..  The lanes will reopen by 10 a.m. Saturday. There will be no lane shifts on the eastbound bridge.
