St. Louis Work Zones for September 22-28

ST. LOUIS – Drivers who use eastbound I-70 near I-170 should be aware of a traffic split and interstate restrictions starting TONIGHT.  Eastbound I-70 will be reduced to two lanes and will split around the work zone at I-170 for two weeks.  In addition, motorists near the airport who use Lambert International Boulevard will not be able to access northbound I-170.  Drivers can detour around the closure by taking southbound I-170 to Natural Bridge and turning around to northbound I-170.

Anyone heading to Saturday’s University Square Fountain Festival at UMSL should be aware of some road closures around the area.  Route 115/Natural Bridge Road between West Drive and Roland, as well as Route N/Florissant Road from St. Ann Lane to Natural Bridge, will be closed from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Grand Boulevard over I-44 will be closed overnight Wednesday, September 22 so crews can set girders for the new bridge.  All lanes will be closed between Shaw and McCree starting at 7 p.m.  All lanes are expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Thursday.   In addition, the Grand exit to eastbound I-44 is scheduled to reopen by 5 a.m. Wednesday, September 28.

All work is weather permitting and may be shifted due to inclement weather.  For additional work zone information and real-time roadway weather conditions, go to http://traveler.modot.org/map.  For real time traffic, visit www.gatewayguide.com
