The Missouri State Rail Plan is the strategic framework outlining the development of passenger and freight rail service in Missouri for the next 20 years. MoDOT and its consultant, HNTB, have developed a comprehensive document evaluating existing conditions and current and future capacity needs of Missouri’s extensive railroad system. The plan also identifies and prioritizes future projects and includes recommendations for proposed policies for passenger and freight rail development in Missouri.
