2012-2016 Statewide Highway & Bridge Construction Schedule
JEFFERSON CITY - The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the mid-Missouri area for the two-week period of May 28 to June 8, 2012. Scheduled lane closures will not take place during the Memorial Day weekend. Weather conditions may cause postponements in the work schedule. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures, and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, follow posted signing and drive safely through work areas. Mowing of right of way is underway in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert to slow moving equipment along the roadside.
Boone County
Daylight Hours/Overnight Hours
Route 63 from just north of Route 163 to Route H – Construction of a new diamond interchange and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect periodic lane closures.
* The Route 163 crossover north of the overpass construction will be closed on Tuesday, May 29. Motorists will need to use the next available crossover or overpass to the north and south.
* Lane closures are likely on Friday, June 1, to allow for the removal of guard cable.
* Route H is temporarily closed at U.S. 63. Traffic is being detoured to Hardwick Lane, located near the U.S. 63 roadside park. Route H will remain closed at U.S. 63 until the new interchange opens to traffic.
* Motorists should be prepared for periodic reductions in speed limits through the work area.
The entire project is scheduled for completion in late 2012.
Overnight Hours
Route 163 between Interstate 70 and Route 63 – Concrete repair will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, June 1. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Overnight Hours
Interstate 70 between mile markers 136 and 148 – Asphalt overlay in the westbound lanes will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, May 31. One westbound lane will be open through the work area.
Daylight/Overnight Hours
Route 94 bridge over East Wing Creek east of Route C – Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through early July. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Daylight Hours
Route 54 at Route J – Roadway maintenance in the eastbound lanes will take place on Wednesday, May 30. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route PP between Route 94 and Route BB – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, May 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 7 between Route Z and Route NN – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Cole County
Daylight Hours
Route 50 between Route M and Big Meadows Road – Concrete repair in the eastbound lanes will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, June 7. One eastbound lane will be open through the work area.
Route 54 between Old Bass Road and Route CC – Improvements at 12 intersections along 8.5 miles of U.S. 54 to improve safety and traffic flow.
* Crews are implementing acceleration and deceleration lanes, offset turn lanes, lighting, and other lane modifications at the intersections of Buffalo Road and Heritage Highway. One lane of U.S. 54 in each direction will remain open at all times. However, motorists should be prepared for possible delays.
* The west entrance to Monticello Road will close for approximately 30 days, beginning Monday, June 4. Motorists using that road can access the east entrance during the closure.
The entire corridor is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
Route 179 between Route C and Edgewood Drive – Grading, drainage, and bridge paving for a new interchange. Periodic lane closures may occur, and motorists are advised to use caution through the area. The entire project is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2012.
Route D bridge over the Moreau River, south of Stringtown Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, June 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Daylight Hours
Interstate 70 at the 101 eastbound exit ramp – Concrete repair will take place Tuesday, May 29 and Wednesday, May 30. One lane will be open through the work area.
Interstate 70 at the 101 westbound exit ramp – Concrete repair will take place on Thursday, May 31. One lane will be open through the work area.
Route O over Moniteau Creek north of Oakland Church Road – Bridge maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, June 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route DD, one mile west of Route K – Roadway maintenance will take place on Monday, June 4. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route O bridge over Pine Branch southwest of Route 19 – Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through mid July. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route E between Route 8 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place on Thursday, May 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route BB between Route 8 and the end of state maintenance – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Wednesday, May 30. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 32 bridge over Spring Creek in Salem – Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed to traffic through late June. Motorists are advised to use a nearby bypass or find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Route H bridge over Holt Creek west of Route DD – Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed to traffic through late June. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Route NN bridge over Dry Fork Creek west of Route F – Bridge replacement continues. The bridge is closed to traffic through early June. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route 119 between Route 32 and the end of state maintenance – Roadside maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, May 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route Z between Route 19 and the Franklin County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Thursday, May 31 through Thursday, June 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route N bridge over Mill Creek south of Route MM – Bridge replacement is complete. The bridge opened to traffic on May 23. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route 68 between Route 63 and the St. James city limits – Roadway maintenance will take place Monday, June 4 through Thursday, June 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route P between Route 63 and Route 68 – Roadway maintenance will take place on Tuesday, May 29. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route Z between Route 28 and Route 42 – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, June 5 through Thursday, June 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.

Route 17 bridge over Saline Creek south of Saline Road – Bridge replacement begins on Monday, June 4. The bridge will be closed to traffic through late August. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction.
Route 17 bridge over Dog Creek south of Finch Road – Bridge replacement is under way. The bridge is closed to traffic through mid July. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
Route MM bridge over J Buster Creek south of Bittle Road – Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin the week of June 4. The bridge will be closed to traffic through mid-July. Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the construction. This project is part of the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.

Route HH bridge over Fork of Bailey’s Creek southwest of County Road 263 – Bridge replacement is scheduled to begin the week of May 28. The bridge will be closed to traffic through late June. Route 63 between Interstate 44 and the Maries County line - Roadway resurfacing continues. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area. The project is scheduled for completion in fall 2012.
Route 8 between Interstate 44 and Route 68 – Culvert pipe repair in various locations will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, May 31. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
Route B between Route 68 and the Gasconade County line – Roadway maintenance will take place Tuesday, May 29 through Thursday, June 7. One lane will be open, and crews will flag traffic through the work area.
